Competitive Groups

This is the very beginning of your swimmers adventure in the sport of swimming. Even though your swimmer won’t be in Stroke School forever, the skills that they will learn here will serve them for the rest of their swimming career.

10 & Unders

Age Group Bronze

Practices are typically 4 days a week for 45 minutes. Here is where swimmers focus on technique and increasing their endurance. Turns, entries, underwaters and body positioning and awareness are taught.

Age Group Silver

Age Group Silver builds on skills and techniques learned in lower groups. Here is where the swimmers have longer and more challenging sets. These practices are about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Swimmers are required to attend a certain number of meets per season (determined by their coach) and all invitationals they qualify for.

Age Group Gold

When swimmers have at least 3 B times and have shown to regularly attend practice, they can move into Age Group Gold. This group has practice for 1.5 hours 5-6 days a week. Swimmers are required to attend a certain number of meets per season (determined by their coach) and all invitationals they qualify for.

Transitions

Transitions can be a fun and challenging time for swimmers. They are moving to a new group with a new coach, higher expectations, and other swimmers. We try to ease the process and prepare them for the changes. Swimmers must complete test sets and have age appropriate times for moving. Transitions between groups is at the coaches discretion.
