I am a skilled and passionate professional with over 20 years of experience in rock climbing, coaching, and education. Since June 2024, I’ve been working as a Swimming Coach at SwimCorpsUSA, where I use my Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification and expertise to teach swimmers of all levels.
As a professional competitive rock climber for over two decades, I had the privilege of being sponsored by Mad Rock and Granite Climbing Gear and Accessories. Throughout my career, I worked as a Rock Climbing Instructor from 2003 to 2020, helping countless individuals develop their skills, confidence, and love for climbing. My years of climbing have instilled in me resilience, problem-solving, and a passion for inspiring others to reach new heights.
In 2021, after undergoing surgery, swimming played a transformative role in my recovery. It not only helped me regain physical strength and mobility but also became a source of mental clarity and peace. The experience deepened my appreciation for the therapeutic and empowering benefits of swimming, which I now share with my students to inspire their own journeys.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture from Lehman College in Bronx, NY, where I graduated in 2009. Being fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and English allows me to connect with diverse communities and bring a multicultural perspective to my work.
Promoting fitness, safety, and a love for the outdoors has been at the core of my professional journey, and I am committed to inspiring others through my skills, knowledge, and passion for sports and the natural world.
