Growing up on the coast of the UK, Jason developed a love for swimming from an early age—a passion that has stayed with him throughout his life. In his teens, he competed both with his local swim team and as part of his Boy Scout troop.

Not long after, Jason became the youngest certified lifeguard at his town’s swimming pool, a role that soon led him to teaching swimming.

About a decade later, he discovered triathlon and worked his way up to middle-distance events. But it was the open water swimming that truly captured his heart. Living near the Lake District National Park, he spent most weekends immersed in the wild, beautiful lakes of Cumbria. One highlight came when his wife secured him a place on a charity swim team to cross from the coast of England to the Isle of Wight.

After emigrating with his family in 2021, Jason joined a local team as a coach, where all three of his children trained. Today, they all swim proudly with TMEC, continuing the family’s deep connection to the sport.
